Coub is a video-hosting site founded by Russians that allows its users to publish short looped videos with non-synchronous audio accompaniment - "coobs. It is similar to Twitter's Vine service. It was launched in April 2012.

In 2013, Coub attracted a million dollars of investment from Phenomen Ventures and Brother Ventures. In 2014, the project attracted a $2.5 million investment from Vaizra Capital, a fund owned by VKontakte co-founders Lev Leviev and Vyacheslav Mirilashvili.
